God has always been a part of my life, but the God that is in my life today is quite different than the God I grew up with. I was raised catholic and believed I was a sinner, was saved by baptism, forgiven in confession, and if I attended mass every Sunday and obeyed all the rules of the church, I would go to heaven. In the beginning that was enough and I developed a closeness to God that comforted me through difficult times. In my early twenties I realized that I was missing something, and began my journey studying mysticism, spiritualism, the bible, meditation, Edgar Cayce, Paramahansa Yogananda, and others until I found Religious Science. I soon started SOM classes, and upon finding Light of Life Church, I became a founding member, started class work in the new curriculum of accredited classes, and became a practitioner in 2000. I continue on my spiritual journey as a practitioner through service to my spiritual community at Light of Life, and deepening in my spiritual practice. I have served our spiritual community in many ways over the years. The list is long, but what is important is that all I do is done as a loving, compassionate and healing presence in the world. There are no limits to our spiritual enlightenment. All is possible with God.
