I am a life long learner and seeker. I am a singer and lover of music in its diverse expressions. I value and am fascinated with understanding humanity. I look within to find answers. I listen to music or express music to find answers in life. I also find answers in conversations with others. I value what children have taught me. I envision a peaceful dynamic sharing world. I was born and grew up in Oklahoma. I have served as a teacher of the Transcendental Meditation Program as taught by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. I have several college and university degrees, the most recent being a BA in Music from San Diego State University. I also have a BA in women studies from the University of Kansas, and an MA in interdisciplinary studies from Maharishi International University in Fairfield, Iowa (Now named Maharishi University of Management). I have AA’s in psychology and music from Mesa College in San Diego. I am currently working on an MA in Ethnomusicology (world music) at San Diego State University. I am specializing in Russian folk music. Other trainings that I have participated in include teacher training in singing in the Werbeck method of Uncovering the Voice and Therapeutic Singing Training, closely aligned with Rudolf Steiner, the founder of the Waldorf Schools. I served as chairperson for the Parents Association at the Waldorf School for three years while my children attended. I am an advocate for natural childbirth and La Leche League, promoters of breastfeeding, and for Waldorf education. I have taken courses from La Leche League, childbirth educator courses from Rahima Baldwin’s Informed Family Life and from the Bradley method of Natural Childbirth. I have also taken childbirth assistant or doula training from Informed Family Life. I also value and have found fulfillment, as well as excellent tools for life through my training to become a Religious Science practitioner, having participated and having taken classes in several Religious Science churches. I have been married to an Englishman and engineering consultant, Colin, for twenty-five years. I have two lovely children, Anita Bradbury, an organizer of the Religious Science teen camps and a student at UCLA in theater scenic design, and Charles Bradbury, who holds a BS in game art and design from the Art Institute, currently employed as a prop artist for High Moon Studios in Carlsbad. What do I enjoy doing? I enjoy singing and listening to music as well as teaching singing and therapeutic singing. I like to read and explore knowledge. I am an active participant in Storymakers, a women’s journaling group. I am a strong advocate for journaling as a tool of self discovery and wisdom. I enjoy conversations, and learn a lot from other people. I enjoy ballroom dancing and contra dancing. I also like to swim and walk along our beautiful beaches. I love to travel, and just returned from a fabulous trip to Russia and the Ukraine. I also enjoy studying languages. I enjoy talking to people and doing treatments. Call me and schedule one today.
